EOTD- YSL Ombres 5 Lumieres No. 11

This EOTD is thanks to my new YSL palette which I post about in my last post!

I've taken these photos 11 hours after I put the shadow on. All I've done is touch up concealer and combed my brows.

Products Used:
  • UDPP
  • YSL Ombres 5 Lumieres No. 11- Light Teal all over lid, Dark Emerald in socket and lower lash line
  • Revlon Stay Matte Khol Eyeliner in "Midnight Blue"
  • Lancome Hypnose Doll Eyes Mascara
  • Maybelline Fit Me Concealer
In hindsight, I should have lined my lower lash line with white liner to make my eyes POP more... maybe next time!

Hope you enjoyed :D

EOTD- Mirenesse Pearl Crush Creaseless Shadows

Today's EOTD is this GORGEOUS palette from Mirenesse:

Pearl Crush Creasless Shadow 1. Conch Pearl

It's called "Conch Pearls" and is meant to represent the various colours pearls come in around the globe. Totally adorable. Anything remotely to do with pearls has me straight away.

Now I know the photos aren't so great in this post. I had fantastic intentions of bringing my digital camera into work, but unfortunately I forgot and was too excited about this makeup to wait til I got home.

I used a peach blush with this look (Illamasqua "Rude" Cream Blush)

So, I used the darkest shade all over the lid, the middle shade in the crease and the lightest shade as the highlight.

I then used lashings upon lashings of Lancome Hypnose Doll Eyes Mascara
Chanel Pencil Eyeliner was used on the top and bottom water line.

Totally blurry, but you get the idea. On the lips I wore Natio "Nude Peach" lipstick (a new fave!)

Mirenesse claim these shadows are "creaseless" and I can honestly tell you that after 13 hours of continuous wear, the shadow did not creased in the slightest (I did use UDPP). The colour didn't fade or fall out either which was AMAZING!

The shadows apply very smoothly, with minimal fallout and the colour is very true to what's in the pan.

I totally recommend these to ANYONE. These are one of the best shadows I have come across in a very long time.

Buy it From: Mirenesse Online
RRP: $29.95 and worth every penny

Have any of you tried this brand? Are you totally head over heels like I am?

Keep it Haute!

This shadow was given to me at the ABBW. Has not influenced my thoughts or opinions in anyway. Anyway, if it did, I wouldn't have the brains to write such a glowing review :D

EOTD- MAC "Woodwinked"

For this EOTD, I used MAC's "Woodwinked" as my inspiration to create a nice, shimmery, warm golden brown eye:

Products Used:
MAC Woodwinked all over lid
Chanel Illusion d'Ombre in "Ebloui" as contour
Chanel Illusion d'Ombre in "Emerveille" on brow bone
Napoleon Perdis China Doll Gel Liner
Lancome Hypnose Doll Eyes Mascara

I didn't line my bottom waterline either, to make the look more "day appropriate".

I then paired it with this pinky coral Rouge Coco Shine called "Evasion":

Do any of you have "Woodwinked"? Do you love it to death as much as I do!?

EOTD Chanel Illusion d'Ombre 'Epatant"

This Illusion d'Ombre from Chanel is a goldish, greenish shade with just the right amount of elegant shimmer to keep your look chic and sophisticated.

Epatant

This colour is perfect on it's own (for day time) as it has so much going on. For night time, I'd wear it with Illusoire in the outer corner and crease to create drama and depth.

As with all of the d'Ombres, the apply perfectly and blend seamlessly to create an expensive, "I've just had my makeup done by a Makeup Artist" look. Who doesn't want that, right?

The thing I love about the Illusion d'Ombre range is that every colour I have seen goes with absolutely every skin tone imaginable! How does Peter Phillips do it!? He truly is a genius.

Epatant

Buy It From: All major department stores
RRP: $48 AUD

Have any of you tried the Illusion d'Ombres? How awesome are cream shadows?! ZOMG in love!

Keep it Haute,

EOTD- Neutral Matte

Quick post today- sneaking in writing between patients!

So, I wanted to steer away from my usual shimmer/frosty/dark shadows and decided to opt for a matte neutral. Crazy I know... BUT... I'm actually quite impressed at how much I like this look! I honestly never thought I'd like matte shadows so I'm quite pleasantly surprised...

Here Ti's: IT'S SO NEUTRAL!

Products Used:
UDPP
Virgin (inner corner)
Naked (outer corner)
Buck (crease)
Applied with Crown and Langnickel brushes
Napoleon Perdis China Doll Liner
Sublime de Chanel Mascara
Chanel Khol Pencil
PS- Like what's with the blotchy looking parts on my brow!? Most likely it was Mr Camera playing games... hmm...

I have to show you guys this, it's my FIRST EVER cardigan from Alannah Hill and I'm SO EXCITED! I haven't bought nice work clothes in like FOREVER so I'm glad I saved and splurged on this... I'm wearing it with a Target dress today :D It's the best of both worlds!

Thanks for reading guys! As always,

Keep it Haute

How I Wear My Makeup To Work!

Hey Fellow Hautees!

Today I thought I'd show you how I've been wearing my makeup to work recently. If you follow me on Twitter you'd know that I've just started a new job where I have to be very professional, authoritative and confident. In real life, I am none of those things- I'm easy-going, relaxed and crazy. SO my makeup has had to change and be more serious *sad face*

This is how I've been wearing my makeup to work lately:

Face
Illamasqua Skin Base Foundation #8 (this has to be THE best foundation I've ever used)
Illamasqua Powder Foundation

Cheeks
Illamasqua Powder Blush in Lover
Illamasqua Bornzer in Writhe as Contour

Eyes
Urban Decay Naked Palette (Sin, Sidecar and Darkhorse)
Chanel Khol Liner in Noir
Sublime de Chanel Mascara

Lips
Rouge Coco Shine in Boy

Taken from Google Images as my lighting sucks.

My eye is ready for its close-up

"Sin" on the inner corner
"Sidecar" all over the lid
"Darkhorse" on the outer corner

Do you think I look professional? Is it working??

Keep it Haute

EOTD Featuring Chi Chi's Beach Babe Palette

Remember this post where I showed you my little Chi Chi haul?

Well I decided to show you guys how gorgeous the Beach Babe palette is with an EOTD!

Many apologies for not swatching the shadows yet... I'm not going to lie, I've just been lazy! >.<

Here is a pic of the palette again:

For today's EOTD I uses the darkest shade closest to the bottom and the shade third from the top.

Here is the EOTD:

Silly me didn't use a primer so it's gone a bit blotchy....

I used the darkest shade wet and applied it as an eyeliner

In the pan, the light shade looks very peachy but on the eye it's turned a light silvery colour... I like the effect but it wasn't what I had in mind. I don't really think it looks very "beachy" but I'm not complaining!

Because I was using the Beach Babe palette, I decided to do my make up very tanned and summery (I'm so over Winter):

Face:
Chanel Mat Lumiere Foundation No 20
Illamasqua Undereye Concealer
Illamasqua Powder Foundation

Cheeks
Illamasqua Blush in Lover
Illamasqua Bronzer in Writhe
Illamasqua Gleam Cream

Eyes
Shadows as above
Oradess Eye Definer Eyeliner
Sublime de Chanel Mascara

Lips
Revlon Nude Matte 001 Lipstick

What will you guys be getting up to this weekend? How will you wear your make up AND have you bought anything from Chi Chi yet?!
