"Last year saw Australis' revolution into spectacular nourishing lipsticks... 2011 introduces 10 new shades into the award winning Australis Colour Inject Lipstick range"
Austalis 2011
HORRAH FOR AUSTRALIS and HORRAH FOR NOURISHING LIPSTICKS! I don't know about you, but it appears that in MY beauty cabinet that lipglosses are out and lipsticks are IN! Maybe it's all the Mad Men I watch... Hmm...
Lipstick technology has come such a long way in the past couple of years... Not only are our pouts packing a glorious pigmented punch, but they are also being conditioned into soft, plump, heavenly clouds as well! Who'da thought eh? Who'da thought...
So this is my review and swatches of a couple of Australis' new Colour Inject Lipsticks! Australis promises
"long lasting. moisturising and nourishing lipsticks filled with vitamins, minerals, antioxidents and peptides. Named after different dance styles, the Australis Colour Inject lipsticks are not only bright but fun and contain Kakadu plum, the world's highest know source of Vitamin C".
Swatches top to bottom: Twist, Charleston, Jitterbug, Macarena, Ballet
Come on Baby, Let's do the TWIST!
Twist
Nude, slightly opalescent, very sheer. Fantastic for a "natural look" or paired with intense smokey eyes.
Won't You CHARLESTON With Me?
Charleston
Blue based red, moderately pigmented (you need a couple of swipes to build up colour), this would suit medium skin tones (looks rather garish on me)
Who's that Hiding? In the Treetops? It's that Rascal... the JITTERBUG
Jitterbug
Orange based red, AH-MAZING COLOUR, Really suits pale complexions, my fave of the bunch
HEEEEEY MACARENA!
Heavily brown based neutral, very nourishing, reminds me of a 90's Bobbi Brown "Heavy Neutral" look
Let's go to the BALLET!
Ballet
Girly baby doll pink, very very pretty & feminine, highlights the flakiness of your lips so be sure to exfoliate and balm before hand! Another fave of the bunch!
So there it is guys! 5 of Australis' 20 Colour Inject lippies swatch (15 to go!). Which ones did you like the best? Mine were Jitterbug and Ballet. Will defiantly repurchase those fo' sure!
RRP: $12.95 (soooooo cheap!)
Purchase from: Big W, Kmart, Priceline (Gotta Love...), Target and selected pharmacies
Hope you enjoyed the review!
Keep it Haute!
