My Top 3 Drugstore Neutral Lipsticks

Lately I've rekindled my love for nude lipsticks, and I thought I'd share with you three of my favourite nudes from drugstores!

Left to Right- BYS "Champagne Rain", Natio "Nude Peach", Revlon "Nude Attitude"

Left to Right- BYS "Champagne Rain", Natio "Nude Peach", Revlon "Nude Attitude"

BYS Champagne Rain $3.95

I have been hesitant to buy any lipsticks from BYS as I thought they would be terrible due to the very low price point. How very wrong I was! Not only is this a gorgeous pinky-neutral colour, but the formula is really buttery and smooth and applies like silk on the lips.

There is a slight smattering of champagne micro-shimmer in the formula making it semi-matte and slightly "glossy" looking. On my lips it lasts about two hours (keeping in mind that I'm constantly drinking something!)

The only con I have with this lipstick is that the packaging is really flimsy. I've already broken the lid and I purchased it two days ago!

Natio "Nude Peach" $12.95

I grabbed this lovely shade at a recent Brisbane Beauty Bloggers swap and I'm so in love!

The shade is peachy neutral (hence the name) with a decent golden micro-shimmer throughout. It's defiantly best worn on warmer skin tones, or if you have a moderate tan. I don't think this would work on very pale skin as it would make you look really ill.

The formula is semi-sheer and very smooth and lasts for about 2 hours without needing to be touched up.

Unfortunately this shade has been discontinued (!) but I'm most certain Natio would have a shade very similar in their current collection.

Revlon "Nude Attitude" $21.95

This shade is from Revlon's "Matte" range. It's a yellow-based nude with absolutely no shimmer or sparkle. The formula is quite opaque, and as such can drag a little on the lips when you're applying it (I usually apply it by smudging it on my finger then patting it on my lips).

Pale skinned ladies could wear this nude, just as long as you wear blush so as not to look too washed out!

If I had to choose a winner out of these three, it would defiantly be CHAMPAGNE RAIN! Yay! Go BYS!

Hope this helped anyone looking for a cheap nude!

Do you have any nude recs? Let me know!

Keep it Haute
