You're Joking, Right?

Yesterday was a testing day, for my patience and sanity.

You see, I went to cancel the $300 per month listing with White Pages (we had a 12 month contract) and was informed that we had extended our contract and it could not be cancelled.

SAY WHAT?! I hadn't even called these people, they hadn't called me, so what's the deal?

Well, this is:

Sensis Drone: "We had confirmation from your business that the advertisement could go to print, so we put it to print!"

Me: "Who gave you permission? Who approved the proof?"

Sensis Drone: "Oh, um, when we called, a lady said YES, so I guess she was from Marketing? Or Accounts?"

Me: "I am both the Accounts and Marketing department and gave no such authorisation. So, you didn't ask for their name, their position, you didn't ask to speak to the owner and signatory of the account?"

Sensis Drone: "Ummm..."

Me: "Further more, you do realise that any Tom, Dick or Harry could have answered the phone and said "Yes", right? What you have basically done is breach contract (insert other legal jargon here). Please play back the recording of the "Lady" saying "Yes" immediatly and send it via email for my legal team to verify etc etc etc"

Sensis Drone: "Umm... I need to talk to my manager, I don't know what to do about this. We don't have the recording."

Me: "CANCEL THE ACCOUNT IMMEDIATLY"

Sensis Drone: "But... but... I work on commission! I..."

Me: "Not my problem. Cancel it immediatly"

*click*

SCREW YOU SENSIS! I have never EVER in all my life been SO ANGRY. Take your $3600 and shove it down your throat.
